This four-week course provides you with knowledge and practice of the key elements of academic writing. The course includes input on the following aspects: the stages of the writing process, structure and organisation, understanding essay titles, academic style, planning and drafting an essay, introductions, conclusions, taking notes from sources, paragraphing, avoiding plagiarism, paraphrasing, summarising, and combining sources.

It assumes little or no prior knowledge of academic writing in English.
